About

Animo CBD operates in Brooklyn under a state-issued adult-use cannabis retail license, regulated by the NY Office of Cannabis Management (OCM). The license is publicly listed as OCM-RETL-25-000383 — active status is verifiable via the OCM QR-code portal at cannabis.ny.gov before a first visit. The shop offers in-store pickup. Every product on the shelf runs through NY's compliance framework: 10mg-per-serving caps on edibles, third-party lab panels on cannabinoid content, and tamper-evident packaging required by OCM. Adults 21+ only; a valid government-issued ID is required at entry. The Brooklyn retail scene mixes CAURD-licensed social-equity shops with larger independent operators, and most neighborhoods now have at least one licensed dispensary within a short walk or subway stop. Menu and hours live on the shop's site — stock moves, so checking the same day you plan to visit saves a wasted trip. Anyone new to cannabis or new to a specific product category is better off asking the budtenders than guessing — the "start low, go slow" principle matters most on edibles (10mg per serving max) where onset can take 30-90 minutes.
