Afropunk Brooklyn (tentative)

Flagship Brooklyn-born music and culture festival of Black alternative scenes — punk, rock, soul, hip-hop, Afrobeat, electronic. Past headliners include Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, FKA Twigs. The festival has shifted venues in recent years and lineup/dates for 2026 are not yet publicly confirmed — monitor afropunk.com and the @afropunk Instagram account closer to summer. (2026 date not yet published; pattern: Late August 2026 (TBD; historically last weekend of August at Commodore Barry Park or Lena Horne Bandshell) — verify with the source before planning.)
