Brooklyn Dispensaries Open Late: Hours, Delivery Cutoffs and the 2 a.m. Line

About one in five licensed Brooklyn shops lists a Friday closing of midnight or later. Which ones run latest, why nobody sells at 3 a.m., and how delivery hours work.

6 min read

Brooklyn dispensaries open late are easier to find than most people expect: as of 2026, about one in five of the borough's licensed storefronts listed a Friday closing time of midnight or later in the state's license data, and a handful run to 2 a.m. The rest mostly close at 10 or 11 PM. For adults 21+ planning around a late shift, a late dinner or a show that lets out after ten, the useful questions are which shops stay open, what time delivery stops, and why nobody sells at 3 a.m.

The rule, plainly

New York's cannabis rules give cities room to set dispensary hours, with limits. Under the state's regulations, a retail dispensary cannot operate between 2:00 and 8:00 AM unless the municipality gives express written permission, and a local government cannot restrict a shop to fewer than 70 hours a week. Inside that frame, each shop sets its own hours in its license application and must post them inside the store.

New York City has no local law setting dispensary hours as of 2026. A City Council bill introduced in January 2026, Int. 0033-2026, would require shops to close by 9:30 PM; it was in committee, not enacted, as of this writing. An earlier version died at the end of the last council session. If it ever passes, the late-night map below changes overnight, so it is worth keeping an eye on.

That is why the latest any Brooklyn shop lists is 2 a.m., and why the earliest is 8 a.m.

Who stays open latest

Every shop below appeared as an active licensed adult-use retailer in the Office of Cannabis Management's license data as of 2026, with these registered hours. Registered hours and the hours on the door can drift, so confirm before heading out.

Open until 2 a.m. every night:

  • Hold Up Roll Up Brooklyn, 765 Washington Avenue, listed 8 AM to 2 AM daily.
  • OTEC, 1155 Liberty Avenue, listed 10 AM to 2 AM daily.

Until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday:

  • HII, 152 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, listed to midnight Sunday through Wednesday and to 2 AM Thursday through Saturday.
  • R & R Remedies, 287 Harrison Place in Bushwick, same pattern: midnight early in the week, 2 AM late in the week.
  • Are We Good Enterprises, 154 Vanderbilt Avenue, listed to 11 PM early in the week and 2 AM Thursday through Saturday.

Midnight, most or all nights:

  • The Travel Agency Downtown Brooklyn, 118 Flatbush Avenue, listed to midnight Monday through Saturday and 11 PM Sunday.
  • Superbness, 110 Broadway, Salt City Naturals, 61 North 11th Street, and Sunflower Dispensary, 377 Metropolitan Avenue, all in Williamsburg and all listed to midnight every night.

The dispensary directory lists all of Brooklyn's licensed shops with their posted hours.

Delivery after dark

Delivery follows the same clock as the counter. State guidance is direct about it: a licensed shop can sell, including through delivery, only during its hours of operation. Two details make that work in practice:

  • Orders can be placed any time. A shop may take and charge for an order online or by phone after closing, but it cannot hand over the product until its hours begin again.
  • The delivery window can end early. Some shops run delivery on a shorter schedule than the counter; Bleu Leaf in the Bronx, for one, ends deliveries an hour before the store closes. Each shop sets its own window, and its site will say.

The delivery rules themselves don't change after dark. Orders are prepaid; couriers don't take cash. An adult 21+ shows ID and signs at the door. Delivery goes only to homes and private businesses, never to a park, a public building or someone waiting in a car. And the same limits apply: up to three ounces of flower and 24 grams of concentrated cannabis.

A late-night checklist

  • Verify licensed status via the OCM QR code at cannabis.ny.gov. Late at night, the shops still open with neon signs are not always licensed ones. Licensed storefronts display a scannable verification sticker near the entrance, and OCM's retailer finder at buylegal.cannabis.ny.gov lists every licensed location.
  • Bring a valid photo ID. Adults 21+ only, every visit, whatever the hour.
  • Expect the same 13%. The state's 9% tax and the 4% local tax apply at 1 a.m. the same as at noon.
  • Head home with it sealed. Cannabis cannot be consumed in a motor vehicle in New York, including the cab or rideshare home.
  • Know where it can't go. New York state law prohibits cannabis consumption on state-owned land and in public spaces. Businesses and restaurants, patios included, are off-limits for consumption too.

Why hours vary so much by block

Two shops a few blocks apart can keep very different hours. Each licensee picks its hours when it applies, inside the state's 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. window, and the late-closing shops cluster in Williamsburg, Bushwick and a few other corridors while many others keep ordinary retail hours. Across Brooklyn's roughly 85 active storefronts in the state data, about half listed a Friday closing time of 10 or 11 PM.

What it means for your night

Plan the stop early rather than counting on the last hour. A late-closing shop is a backup, not a strategy, and delivery cutoffs come earlier than closing time. For newcomers to edibles, start low, go slow. For what's on after dark in the borough, the events calendar is updated weekly.
